ZOOM-IN—AIRBLASTER x HONEY BUCKET: A CHAT WITH MAX WARBINGTON AND JEFF HOLCE

  |   SLUSH STAFF

Two of Airblaster’s riders, Max and Jeff, sat down to talk about the most unexpected collab of the season: outerwear meets porta-potty. Honey Bucket x Airblaster is here, and we had to ask them about it.

First thought when you heard Airblaster x Honey Bucket was really happening?

Max: People are gonna love this!
Jeff: No way! That’s so cool!

Why do you think a collab like this works for snowboarding? Any non-snow brands you’d love to see mashed into outerwear—like gas stations, snack foods, or roadside icons?

Max: Snowboarding needs funny stuff like this collab to remind us that it’s all about just having fun. Nerds or Skittles would be pretty sweet. (Get it?)
Jeff: Both brands have a lot of fun with the way they do things so it just makes sense! Would love to see a collab with Silent Rock—if it could be done super respectfully.

What’s the funniest reaction you’ve gotten since the collab dropped?

Max: It’s a good split—either serious confusion, people being like “what the hell?”—and then people who love it and laugh immediately. Perfect.Jeff: One person thought I just got done cleaning Honey Buckets. Basically stolen valor haha.

Which teammate/office employee would you want to lock in a Honey Bucket for a few hours, and why?

Max: Len Jørgensen, because I feel like he could keep himself entertained in there and would come out after with some new voice or character.
Jeff: I definitely throw Ben Longley in there! Homie needs to slow down and collect his thoughts.

Who would you not want to be locked in with?

Max: I’d be fine in there with anyone! Squeeze us all in there, it would be a good time.
Jeff: I definitely wouldn’t want to be in there with Bode! He would take up way too much space haha.

Have you jibbed a Honey Bucket—or another restroom—in the past?

Max: For sure! Many times! They’re actually hard to jib but a fun challenge to get a trick on. Just make sure someone is not in there before you jib.
Jeff: Ya! I’ve done a few wallies and taps on them. Those things are built tough.
